Naga sacrificed that comforts of his jacket in the light drizzle and placed it about her shoulders. It had not occurred to Masa until the hood covered her head, that Naga was still holding onto her hand. As the other gripped the hood, it appeared to be that she sought the comfort it had, but really she was hiding the soft underlay of color that came to her face as Nagato lead her out of the decrepit building.

As he looked forward, Nagato saw his house not so far away. "We're almost there...Don't worry." He simply said, giving the female a reassuring squeeze. He had promised to help Masa get through her loss, and he would not go past the promise.

"You are...the most...stubborn man...I have ever met."
She says, trying to keep her tone at angry but finding it hard with hiccups setting in now. It made her voice sound more comedic then serious. Masami held onto Nagato's hand tighter, remaining close as they kept walking.

Nagato laughed at the female's comment. "I can say the same thing about you, ya know." The two arrived on the front porch, and he let go of Masami. He unlocked the door, guiding her in. Closing the door behind him, he flicked on the lights. "Do you want to go lay down in the master bedroom?"

Naga said he could say the same of her, and she nodded silently. They finally came to the front door, and Nagato asked if she wanted to lie down in the master bedroom as he flicked on the lights. Her sensitive eyes had adjusted to the gloom outside, and she flinched slightly when the lights came on hurting her eyes for a second.
"Yes please."
Lying down would be a fabulous notion to her right now.

Nodding his head, Nagato took the coat off of her. He dimmed the lights in the living room, seeing how the female had reacted to the bright things. He guided her into his room, a place she had been many times before where she repeatedly bugged him. He sat her down on the bed, and silence enveloped them for a while.

He dimmed the light for her and she was grateful for that. Much easier on her eyes. Naga lead her into the master bedroom and sat her down. The other times she had been in here were much happier. When she would bug Naga after work, or they would just sit and talk for hours straight on end. Her fingers ran over the sheets, wishing to have those happy times back now.

Grabbing Masa's hand in his, he bought her into a hug. The female was going through a hard time, and he would stay with her. Nagato began to un fold the sheets, fluffing a pillow for the female. "You can get yourself comfortable. I'll go get some chips." He said, walking out of the room, rubbing his hand through his blue hair.

Masami would be lying if she didn't blush softly in the hug before he let go and began to make the bed acceptable for her to lie down in. As he went off to retrieve a bag of chips she moved into the sheets and brought them around her face, only her teary eyes poking out. She cried silently into their comfort, surprisingly they were clean... she did not why she was surprised they were kept clean but she was.

Walking back into the room, Nagato watched the female get into the bed. He had entered silently, not being seen. Walking deeper into the room, he laid down on the bed next to Masami. "Hey pretty." He said holding up the bag of Sour Cream and Onion chips. "Want some?"

Nagato came back in and she felt the bed shift as he lay beside her. He called her pretty and that gained her attention to him. He offered her the chips but she only shook her head.
"My stomach is upset..."
She said into the sheets but loud enough for Naga to hear clearly.

Nagato sighed, and turned off his bedroom light. He shortly after however turned on his bedside lamp, and pulled out a small, paperback book. The title of it read, "Of Mice and Men." Nagato resumed his position next to the female, and closed his eyes. "You always told me of this book. So, I went out and got it. Never looked at it before, so might as well read it to you..." He said, not knowing what to say. "Alright love. Chapter 1..."

As the main lights above shut off and the soft light of the lamp came on, Masa sat up and blinked. Her favorite book was in his hands, he went a bought it. Even this tomboy was moved at how many great lengths Naga was going to. His tough outward appearance had never phased Masa, he was a good intelligent man deep down. He was doing so much for her...the sap he truly was. One hand reached up and placed itself on his as he held the book and read softly.
"Thank you..."

"Thank you..." She softly said, putting her hand on top of his. Smiling Nagato returned it, connected their fingers together. "No problem." He simply said, as he began to read the pages from the book, learning about George and Lennie, along with Lennie's obsession with rabbits. "Boy, this guy sure does love rabbits, doesn't he?"

Masa laughed weakly as Naga said that Lennie loved his rabbits.
"He certainly does."
Comforted by the sounds of Naga's voice as he kept reading aloud, Masa began to feel her eyelids grow heavy. Soon they slid shut and in the middle of a chapter she had dozed off in his bed. She was grateful to him, so very grateful. She slept softly, holding the sheets as if they were the last piece of her mother she had.
